How Letters Are Meaningful To Me

Assalamualaikum and hi!
OMG, this is my first post for 2019. well i hope it's not too late to say Happy New Year. hehe

so, I dah habis stpm, masih tiada kerja, masih menjadi maid sepenuh masa sedangkan kawan-kawan lain dah bekerja. haih. sabar je lah. So, masa tengah unboxing all the books, I found my diaries, and in the diaries, there's bunch of letter. kinda love letter i guess. not really actual love. just puppy love.

so.. those letter really draw a smile on me. i just can really feel how joyful i am while writing this letter before. In one of the letters, i found that i wrote my favorite song. this song released in the year i was born. yup. 1999.

The song entitled "Email My Heart" by Britney Spears. Now, go ahead and finish listening to the song — I know you Googled it. It's cool. While we bob our heads through the last few catchy verses, perhaps all of the technology loving Millennials out there will finally get some credit from everyone who's been chiding us for years over defaulting to "less personal" means of communication such as email. In fact, the study found people who sent romantic emails used stronger, more thoughtful language than their counterparts leaving sentimental messages via voice mail.

to quote Brit's circa 1999 song "Email My Heart":

Email my heart and say our love will never die
And I know you're out there and I know that you still care
Email me back and say our love will stay alive
Forever, email my heart.

Seriously, y'all. That's the stuff transcendence is made of.

in conclusion, surat cinta ni for me ada nilai sentimental tersendiri. Dengan bahasa yang digunakan, the metaphor, hyperbola, and so all. the letter that full with the beauty of linguistic, i can't denied the power. Lagi power bila surat tu dapat buat kita tersenyum sendiri bila membacanya. hihihiks.

Zaman dah moden, dulu orang tulis surat, sekarang orang taip surat atau lebih tepat sekarang orang hanya guna sistem pesanan ringkas je like WhatsApp.

ahhhh.... Britney, you really bring back the memories. ugh
